OBJECTIVE: Short stature is defined as height for age below 3rd percentile in CDC growth charts. It may be a variant of normal growth or pathological. Growth hormone deficiency (GHD) is one of short stature causes. GHD can be diagnosed with oral clonidine stimulation test. It is the most simple test for GHD examination.
METHOD: During mid July 2014 until mid June 2019, growth hormone stimulation test has been run for 136 short stature patients at AP & AP Pediatric, Growth, & Diabetes Center. A single oral dose of clonidine (between 0.1 – 0.15 mg/m2) was given. The blood samples were taken 4 until 5 times in around 2 hours to measure the concentration of plasma growth hormone. 
RESULT: During the test, systolic blood pressure decreased by a mean of 21.9 mmHg within 134 patients (2 patients were excluded because of the absent of blood pressure data). From 136 growth hormone stimulation test with oral clonidine, 70 (51.5%) patients show GHD and 66 (48.5%) patients show normal GH concentration.
CONCLUSION: The growth hormone stimulation test result in short stature patient turns out to be in a quite similar number between GHD and normal GH.
