NATIONAL MCQ VALUE AS A COGNITIVE IMPROVEMENT PREDICTOR PARTICIPANTS OF PEDIATRICS RESIDENT IN MEDICAL FACULTY of BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY

OBJECTIVE: The National MCQ Examination by Pediatric Collegium Indonesian Pediatric Society has been held periodically since 2007. All participants of pediatrics resident from all levels of education are required to take this exam. The aim of this study is to evaluate National MCQ exam as a predictor for cognitive progress of . student.  
METHOD: In this study, the results of the National MCQ exam were collected from all pediatric resident who had taken this exam. Grouping of participants is based on the frequency of participation. The trend line is determined in each group. Calculation of statistical analysis for comparative research with numerical variables using SPSS were delivered.
RESULTS: (graph attached). Repeated anova statistical tests are used. It was concluded that there were no significant differences between result from the beginning to the end in each group of participants.
CONCLUSION: In this study the National MCQ exam can not be used as a predictor of increasing cognitive knowledge and differentiation between levels in pediatrics resident.
