Background: FK Unsyiah's pediatrician education program is a further education that must be passed by a doctor to obtain a Child Specialist degree. Participants in this specialist medical education program are expected to be able to meet clinical, academic, physical and social demands. With a heavy workload, students are required to be able to complete tasks and obligations on time based on the academic guidebook. Objective: This study aims to determine the academic progress of FK Unsyiah's pediatrician specialist education program. Method: This research is a descriptive study in the Department of Child Health FK Unsyiah Banda Aceh in April 2019. The study population was all participants of the FK Unsyiah Pediatrician study program. The research data is obtained from the recapitulation of the divisions according to the academic guidebook. Result: From total of 26 residents of Department of Child Health FK Unsyiah, there was 22 Intermediate Residents, as many as 91,48% who completed division assignments on time according to the academic guidebook. And from 4 residents at the junior stage, as many as 90,37% who completed division assignments right on time. Conclusion : The results showed that there were 10 percent of residents unable to complete division tasks on time. While the constraints found were the limited number of counselors in each division and PPDS who could not manage their time.
