Objective: Incidence of preterm baby in Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi Regional Hospital on 2017 was 24.79% among 1315 neonates. Preterm baby possessed risk on growth and development disturbance. Authors aim to determine the presentation of risk factors occurrence among preterm neonates so as prevent and perhaps intervene such factors to reduce growth and development disturbance among children. Method: This research was conducted in Perinatology Department of Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi Regional Hospital, with total sample of 35 preterm babies. This was a descriptive study. Result: This study revealed that most of the preterm babies were born with body weight of 1500-2000 grams (20%), with 30-32 weeks (28.6%) age of gestation. Among mother who completed high school, most babies born with the age of gestation 30-32 weeks (14.3%), with body weight of 1000-1500 grams (14.3%). Among house wives, most babies were born with the age of gestation 30-32 weeks (25.7%), with the body weight of 2000-2500 grams (22.9%). Among mothers who had pregnancy interval of less than 2 years, most babies were born with the age of gestation 30-32 weeks and 32-34 weeks (17.1%), with the body weight of 1000-1500 and 1500-2000 grams (17.1%). Among mothers who smokes or passive smokers or alcoholics, most babies were born with the age of gestation 30-32 weeks (17.1%), with the body weight of 2000-2500 grams (20%). Conclusion: This research showed that incidence of preterm baby was related to maternal risk factors. Further observation with larger sample size is required to determine exact risk factors of preterm baby.
