OBJECTIVE: Cardiac catheterization has developed into an important part of the diagnosis and management of patients with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Cost of catheterization in CHD was expensive and almost all patients undergoing catheterization at Sanglah Hospital are participants of the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) that used the Indonesian Case-Based Groups (INA-CBG's) payment system. The study aims to determine the characteristics and cost analysis of CHD patients who underwent diagnostic catheterization in Sanglah General Hospital. METHOD: The study used a retrospective design and collect data from March 2009 - July 2018. Data in this study include sample characteristic and cost analysis of the patients who underwent catheterization in Sanglah General Hospital. RESULT: There were 219 CH patients who underwent non-intervention catheterization were included in the study with cyanotic CHD as the major cause. Catheterization intervention in 2018 indicates a negative rate difference between INA-CBG's and hospital real rates. The biggest difference is in grade 3 heart mild intervention. CONCLUSION: This study dominated by cyanotic CHD and TF as the most diagnosis and mostly already interfere with some intervention. There is a negative difference between the INA-CBG’s rates and the hospital's real rates for catheterization.
