CLINICAL MANIFESTATION DENGUE FEVER IN CHILDREN AT MARY CILEUNGSI HOSPITAL BOGOR

Objective: To describe characteristic of dengue fever at Mary Cileungsi Hospital.                                Method: A retrospective study of medical record of dengue fever in chlidren hospitalized at Mary Cileungsi Hospital from January 2018 until October 2018.                                                                                               Result: There were 35 subjects, 27 patients were less than 10 years old (77%), and 7 patients more than 10 years old (23%). 51% was male. 12 patients was malnutritions (34%), 21 patients was good nutritional status (60%), 5 patients was overweight (5%). There were 30 patients hospitalized less than 5 days (85%), and 5 patients hospitalized more than 5 days (15%). There were 6 patients using Ceftriaxone as antibiotic (17%), 2 patients using Cefotaxim (5%), 2 patients using Kloramfenikol (5%),  25 patients did not use antibiotic (71%). There were 2 patients have faringitis as comorbid disease (5%), 3 patients have typhoid (8%), 2 patients have bronkopneumonia (5%), 1 patient  has gastroenteritis (2%). 100% patients go home recovered.                                                                                                                                                         Conclusion: Based on the research, most of the ages suffering from dengue fever are less than 10 years, more common in male, good nutritional status, hospitalized less than 5 days, use Ceftriaxon as antibiotic with typhoid as a comorbid disease, all of patients fully recovered.
