Background : Infants’ Low Birth Weight (LBW) is one of the three major predictors of neonatal morbidity and mortality in Indonesia (Riskesdas, 2013). The prevalence of LBW’s incidence in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) is the third highest in Indonesia, with percentage of 16%. Puskesmas Melolo’s prevalence of LBW’s incidence has been decreasing slightly over the past three years. Material : Observational analytical epidemiology, with case-control study. Research’s subjects are collected with total sampling method, which include all of the babies born in Puskesmas Melolo during 2015-2016, and fulfilled the inclusion criteria with the ratio of case and control’s group 1:1. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate using Odds Ratio (OR), Chi-square statistical test with statistical significance ? 5%, and also multivariate with logistic regression test. Results : 120 subjects are sampled, consisting of 60 with LBW and 60 with normal birth-weight. The research shows that women’s gestational age < 37 weeks is likely to be LBW’s risk factors with OR 6,000 (95% CI = 1,890–19,043; p: 0,001). Risk of suffering from Chronic Energy Deficit of mother with incidence of LBW with OR 2,852 (95% CI = 1,346–6,042; p: 0,006) and severe anemia with OR 3,824 (95% CI = 1,635–8,942 ; p: 0,001). Based on logistic regression test, only two variables are deemed significant which are severe anemia (sig 0,007; OR 3,711) and gestational age < 37 weeks (sig 0,003; OR 7,903). Conclusions : Gestational age and severe anemia on pregnant women are the risk factors in the incidence of infants' low birth weight in Puskesmas Melolo during 2015-2016.
