Background : Adolescents with Type-1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) are at increased risk of depression and stress. Resilience is important to allow positive adaptation. This study aimed to identify factors that contributed to resilience in adolescents with T1DM Material : We examined potential factors that included participant characteristics (age and duration of diagnosis), level of family support, and levels of strength and difficulty. A total of 51 questionnaires were distributed by post and email to adolescents with T1DM, members of the Association of Family with Diabetic Child and Adolescent (total sampling) and 43 questionnaires were returned. The association between duration of diagnosis and resilience was examined using Mann Whitney test. Chi-Square and Fisher tests were conducted to analyze the association between other potential factors and resilience. Multivariate analysis was done by using logistic regression, with resilience as dependent variable. Results : The results showed that the median duration of T1DM diagnosis was 4 years (min 1-max 12 years), mean of resilience scores was 67.95 with 53.5% of the total participants had low resilience (
