Background : According to estimates of a number of international organizations, such as the World Stroke Association, a stroke occurs in every 6 per 100,000 children, with 50% of the age of infants who are more likely to have hemorrhagic strokes. The urgency of the problem lies also in the fact that in the future, 20% of children who have suffered a stroke can develop serious complications leading to disability.
Material : A retrospective expert analysis of 303 medical histories of all cases of non-traumatic hemorrhagic stroke in children between 2014 and 2017 was conducted, as well as subsequent monitoring of this group of children in real time.
Results : The main risk factors for hemorrhagic stroke in 67.1% were obstetric and gynecological history of women. It was found that in 303 women the pregnancy proceeded against the background of diseases of the genitourinary system in 35% (106), circulatory system diseases in 40.6% (123), venous complications in pregnancy in 22.7% (69), endocrine diseases in 19 , 8% (60), as well as the presence of a group of TORCH infections in 82.2% (249). In the intranatal period, the main factors were prolonged or impetuous labor in 38% (115), weakness in labor activity in 32% (97), poor fetal presentation in 31% (94) premature amniotic fluid in 29% (88) and placental pathology 18 , 2% (55). The gender identity of children also affected the development of hemorrhagic hemorrhagic stroke in them, so that strokes develop more in boys, which exceeds by 2.2 times the same figure in the group of girls.
Conclusions : Thus, a correlation was found between obstetric-gynecological history of women and development of hemorrhagic stroke in their children of the first year of life, which requires the personified management of newborns that are included in this risk group.
